Minister of Justice of the Republic of Serbia Maja Popović has wished a Merry Christmas to Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade Stanislav Hočevar, the clergy and all citizens of the Republic of Serbia of the Roman Catholic faith who celebrated the happiest Christian holiday following the Gregorian calendar.

‘Your Excellency, I hope that the joy of Christmas will be a constant inspiration throughout next year, so that we may approach all the challenges of the present creatively, based in tradition, providing solutions of which we may be proud in the future. I wish you a happy Christmas, and that you may always be heralds of peace and good will, all to the glory of the Christian culture and the progress of our Motherland’.

In her Christmas card, the Minister of Justice wished Monsignor Hočevar an abundance of blessings in spreading Christ's love, harmony and peace among people; and to all citizens who were celebrating this most solemn holiday on the Gregorian calendar, she wished that they welcome and spend Christmas filled with love and happiness of family, and in spiritual well-being. ‘May this Christmas also remind us all of the highest human values, of love, gentleness and understanding as well as the beauty of diversity and the need for us all to contribute to mutual respect and tolerance. I extend my warmest wishes for the Christmas holidays and the New Year 2021,’ read the Minister’s message.
