With the support from the EU for Justice – Support for Chapter 23 Project, the Ministry of Justice will organise another workshop in the series of workshops for civil servants to acquire the necessary knowledge about how to incorporate the acquis into the national legislation. The two-day workshop will be held on 23-24 May in the premises of the Judicial Academy.

The aim of the workshop will be to advance the knowledge and the skills of the Ministry of Justice staff, necessary for further harmonisation of the national legislation with the acquis, specifically Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights. This workshop will be the second of three which ought to enable its participants to respond to the demands of the EU-integration process as dictated by Chapter 23. So far, workshop participants have had the opportunity to learn practically how to draft, complete and monitor statements and harmonisation tables, how to plan for the adoption of the acquis and how to prepare a corresponding methodology, starting from analysing the acquis to ensuring the harmonisation of a given legal act.

The first workshop was held on 15-16 April 2019. The final one, planned for July 2019, will focus on the analysis of the effects of the regulations. The workshops are being conducted under the Project’s Programme for Strengthening the Capacity to Harmonise the National Legislation with the EU Acquis.
