Today, Justice Minister Nela Kuburović met with the Ambassador of the P.R. of China to Serbia Li Manchang to discuss cooperation between their countries and the Justice Minister’s upcoming participation in the International Legal Cooperation Forum as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, to be held between 2 and 3 July in Beijing.
Minister Kuburović and Ambassador Li noted that cooperation between Serbia and China was at a high-level and that the relations between the two countries were continually growing and expanding, which was evident from the announcement that China’s President Xi Jinping would be making a state visit to Serbia in September 2018.
On the subject of her upcoming Forum participation, Minister Kuburović was grateful for the invitation, especially considering that the Forum was going to gather a large number of officials and legal experts from around the world, as well as representatives of the private sector and the academia, who were going to discuss important legal matters and challenges of the justice sector within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. Ambassador Li said that Minister Kuburović attending the International Forum in Beijing as a representative of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, would be of great importance as it would further enhance judicial cooperation between their countries.
