“Serbia Judicial Functional Review” is of utmost importance for the judiciary sector in the Republic of Serbia, since it refers to concrete fields, tackles concrete issues and provides concrete solutions”, said today the Assistant Minister of Justice and Head of the Negotiating Group for Chapter 23, Mr. Čedomir Backović, at the presentation of the Functional Review, held in the MP Club in Belgrade.

Mr. Backović emphasized that the Functional Review identifies problems facing Serbia in the judiciary reform process, such as application of the information technology, collection of court fees, standardization in the use of forms, equitable court practice, issues concerning the delaying of hearings with proposed solutions...

“The development of the Functional Review is of utmost importance for the preparation of the Action Plan for Chapter 23, since the concretization of the problem with the suggested solutions, to be incorporated after the finalization of this review in the Action Plan and its activities, is in question“, emphasized Mr. Backović. He expressed belief that between the final Action Plan for Chapter 23 and Functional Review direct correlation will be achieved, and concrete activities, foreseen in the Action Plan for the solution of each of the individual issues and problems mentioned in the Functional Review,  determined.
