Minister of Justice Nikola Selaković met with the Director of the Management Group for the World Bank, Mr Andrian Fozzard, and they talked about presenting the Functional analysis of the Serbian legal system in the Supreme Cassation Court tomorrow. The making of the Analysis was supported by the World Bank.

At the meeting both sides expressed great pleasure for the previous cooperation between the World Bank and the Ministry of Justice, and within projects supported by the World Bank. Mr. Fozzard expressed readiness to extend and advance mutual cooperation, especially in implementing activities which are planned by the Action plan for the negotiation of the Chapter 23.

Minister Selaković expressed his gratitude for the big assistance that the World Bank gives through their projects, and he highlighted that this help was especially important during the making of the Functional analysis of the Serbian legal system. He added that the Analysis represents the real image of the Serbian legal system, and that this Analysis will be of great importance in the further proces of judicial reform because it points out the ’’sore points’’ which should be remediated.

Speaking about the Functional analysis, Selaković said that this approach of perceiving a real image of some area, should be also transffered to other sectors in the country.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Selaković once again took the chance to thank for all the support and help that the World Bank is giving to Serbian Justice for years now.
