The Minister of Justice, Nikola Selaković, the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, and the Minister of Interior Affairs, Nebojša Stefanović, spoke today with a representative of the Department for the execution of judgements of the European Court for Human Rights at the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Katarina Nedeljković, and with the Council of Europe expert, Gregor Virant, about finding an efficient mechanism for the execution of ECtHR judgement "Zorica Jovanović v. Serbia" related to cases of "missing babies".

The meeting was also attended by Zagorka Dolovac, Republic Public Prosecutor, and other representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Interior Affairs.

Ministers pointed out that Republic of Serbia makes great efforts in finding an efficient mechanism for the execution the ECtHR judgement related to cases of "missing babies", and that assistance of the Council of Europe and its experts is of great importance to finding a comprehensive solution.

The representative of the Council of Europe, Katarina Nedeljković, emphasised that the Council of Europe will put at disposal for Serbia technical assistance that is necessary for taking specific steps in solving this problem.

Gregor Virant pointed out that holding this meeting on the highest level today shows strong political will of Serbia to solve this problem, and expressed readiness to provide Serbia with all the necessary expert assistance needed to resolve this problem in a satisfying manner.
