Together with President of the First Basic Court in Belgrade Natalija Bobot, and Public Prosecutor of the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade Ljubivoje Đorđević, Minister of Justice Nela Kuburović visited today finishing works related to the adaptation of the FEC building 2 on Zoran Đinđić Boulevard No. 104, where the First Basic Court (Criminal Division) and Fist Basic Public Prosecutor's Office will soon be moved, considering the planned commencement of renovation works in the “Palace of Justice“.

During the tour around the building, Minister Kuburović got familiarised with performed adaptation works which are executed according to the planned schedule, and which will be completed according to scheduled trials, so hearings could be conducted without obstructions.

The works on the adaptation of FEC building 2 are in the final stage, considering that premises have been whitewashed, elevators renovated, and flooring and equipping of the premises with technical appliances and furniture is under way.

The building will be adapted to people with disabilities, and reconstruction also includes the adaptation of the premises for detention purposes.

The First Basic Court will have 64 rooms at its disposal in the building that is being adapted (which is 3,600 m3 in surface), and the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office will have 89 rooms, which is larger space for the work of these institutions.

After visiting the works related to the adaptation of the FEC building 2, the Minister of Justice also visited a building where the Civil Division of the Third Basic Court in Belgrade is located, on Mihailo Pupin Boulevard No. 16, where the Criminal Division of that Court and the Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade will be moved.
