Ministry of Justice was awarded today the ,,Green Leaf’’ reward for the ,, Jedno drvo za jednog ratnika’’ project in the field of enviroment and nature, a acknowledgement which is traditionaly being awarded by the Ecological magazine being broadcasted by Radio Belgrade 2 - ,,Čekajući vetar’’ and the enviroment protection youth movement from Vojvodina - ,,Pokret mladih gorana Vojvodine’’.

The project is being implemented by the Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sanctions in the Ministry of Justice, together with public company ,,Serbia Forests’’ and the Faculty of Forestry University of Belgrade. It is planned to plant 1,3 millions of trees in memory of Serbia war victims.

Ecological magazine,,Čekajući vetar’’ and ,,Pokret mladih gorana Vojvodine’’, gave the award in Sremski Karlovci for efforts being made in preservation of nature and enviroment.

The same reward was also given to Japanese Embassy in Belgrade for helping Serbia during the period of floods, to ecological movement ,,Pokret gorana Srbije’’ for 55 years of successfull work, to ,,Fiat Chrysler’’ for ,,Recycling is cool’’ projcet.

For organizing an Ecological Festival in Niš, the ,,Green Leaf’’ award was given to the Centar for professional development in education, ,,Off theater’’ scene and ,,Mediana’’ public company.

At last, but not the least, the same prize was given to Dragan Pečurica from Bačka Topola, for his active fight against the air pollution, to Ranko Šćekić from Ub and to Milan Dražić.

The ,,Black Leaf’’ award, which is traditionally given to ones who care the least for the enviroment and nature, it was awarded this year to the Repulic sanitary inspection, for inconsistencies in the implementation of the Law on Protection from exposure to tobacco smoke.
